Session 5: A Foundation for Hearing God’s Voice
Reflection Questions to Ponder with the Lord:
Do I have any misconceptions concerning the prophetic ministry?
Do I live my life in such a way where I am positioned to hear the voice of God?
Is there any way I can position myself better to hear Him?
Exercise in Hearing God’s Voice:
Still yourself before the Lord.
Ask God this question: “God what do you love about me?”
Pay attention to if you receive any pictures (visions) in your mind. Pay attention to if you are sensing anything in the still small quiet voice in your heart.
NOTE: Remember that God isn’t going to say anything that tears you down. He will speak as a Father speaks. He will encourage, empower, and comfort you.
Write down what you feel that God spoke to you.
Test the word by running it by a trusted spiritual voice in your life.
